Introduction
MahaVastu is an Indian knowledge system for understanding the relationship between people, their goals, and the spaces they live or work in.
Through the study of spatial zones, elements and other relevant lenses, a MahaVastu consultation seeks to identify ways in which a space can be aligned more effectively with the needs and objectives of its occupants.
Nothing needs to be demolished. This is usually the first question people ask, and in 99.99% of cases the answer is no. Corrections work within the building exactly as it stands — where things are placed, which colours are used, how a room is used. The most involved change is a thin metal strip set into the floor, which means cutting a tile rather than touching a wall.
The purpose of this page is to help you understand what MahaVastu is and how a consultation works — not to teach the system itself.
About
Early MahaVastu learning, years of practice, management education, corporate experience — and now full-time MahaVastu consultation.
Acharya Pushpak V Kumbhare began his MahaVastu journey in September 2016, completing his first MahaVastu Expert course at the age of seventeen. What started as an early interest became a sustained practice — years of studying spaces, observing outcomes, and refining how the principles apply to real homes and real businesses.
He went on to complete the Flagship PGP/MBA programme at IIM Indore, one of India's leading management institutions, and subsequently worked as a Product Manager at Equitas Small Finance Bank. That period shaped the way he works today: structured, evidence-led and results-oriented, focused on the practical decisions a client actually has to make.
He has since left his corporate career to practise MahaVastu full-time.
Today, as a MahaVastu Acharya, he advises on both new projects and existing spaces — homes, offices, shops, commercial properties and construction plans — through a structured methodology that moves from discovery and data through diagnosis, solution mapping and a clear execution plan. Consultations are conducted remotely for clients across the world.
Consultations
Consultation is available at every stage — before land is bought, while a project is on the drawing board, and for spaces already in use.
Assessment of land or premises before you commit — so the decision is made with the site's own characteristics understood, rather than corrected afterwards.
Guidance from the planning stage, so that layout and orientation decisions can be settled before construction or fit-out begins — when changes still cost nothing.
Analysis of a space as it stands today, with corrections that work within the existing structure — no demolition, no rebuilding.
Consultations are conducted remotely for clients anywhere in the world. Within India, on-site visits are also available where a property benefits from being assessed in person.
Areas of consultation
People rarely arrive asking about a building. They arrive with a concern — something that keeps recurring, or a goal that will not move. The consultation begins there.
Recurring friction at home, strained relationships, or a house that never quite settles.
Effort that is not converting — stalled progress, missed opportunities, work without traction.
Slow sales, staff who do not stay, decisions that keep stalling, or premises that never perform.
Income that arrives but does not stay. Savings that leak. Costs that appear from nowhere.
Difficulty concentrating, indecision, or progress that slips just before it lands.
Spaces that feel draining — restlessness, disturbed rest, or a persistent sense of unease.
How a concern is addressed
A MahaVastu consultation does not aim at general improvement. It looks for a relevant imbalance — a dosha — in a specific zone of your space, and checks whether what that dosha is known to affect matches the concern you actually came with.
The concern you are living with, recorded in your own words — not reinterpreted.
Analysis locates a specific imbalance in a specific zone of the space.
Where the dosha and the symptom correspond, the cause of the concern has been identified.
Once that match is clear, the correction is carried out in the space itself — through the six layers of aligning and energising set out below. The concern is dealt with at its cause, not just worked around.
Methodology
Every consultation follows a structured sequence — from understanding the concern, through analysis across multiple lenses, to a clear plan of what to align and in what order.

In their words
Shared with permission, and published without names. Only the location and the type of consultation are shown.
A long-standing issue in my relationship settled within about fifteen days of making the changes he suggested — object placement, colours, and a strip at the entrance. My son’s concentration in his studies improved as well.
Both my work productivity and my finances improved noticeably after I carried out the remedies. I also secured the job I wanted within two months.
A real change in my confidence, and I secured the business deal I had consulted him about. What stayed with me was the method — matching the symptom to its cause. I would learn it from him if he ever teaches it.
An accurate diagnosis depends on a client speaking openly — often about matters they would not raise anywhere else. If something is held back, the dosha connected to it may never be found, and the remedy that would have addressed it is never given.
Confidentiality is what makes that openness possible, so it is absolute. Nothing a client shares is discussed, and no client is named. The accounts above are published with permission, with every identifying detail removed. Each describes one person’s own experience.
